This study investigates the influence of work motivation and job satisfaction on employee performance, specifically among nurses at Bengkayang Regional General Hospital (BRGH). As nurses play a critical role in healthcare delivery, understanding the factors that drive their performance is essential. A quantitative research design was employed, with data collected from 77 married nurses using a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression through SPSS version 29. The findings reveal that both work motivation and job satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on nurse performance. Nurses with high work motivation demonstrate increased engagement, productivity, and responsibility in fulfilling their duties. Job satisfaction significantly enhances service quality and fosters organizational commitment, which contributes to performance and reduced turnover rates. These results provide empirical support for the theoretical linkage between psychological and organizational factors with employee output in healthcare settings. The study underscores the need for hospital administrators to invest in motivational strategies and satisfaction-enhancing policies. This includes recognition and reward systems, as well as efforts to improve work-life balance, particularly for married nurses who may face additional pressures. Overall, the research highlights the critical role of motivation and satisfaction in optimizing workforce performance.
